Over the years, Kyma has developed a working methodology to accurately manage the sizing<\/strong> and drafting of structural classification plans<\/strong>. The process begins with a quick schematization of the structures, on which the sizing is carried out. The entire 3D model is swiftly developed using NAPA STEEL<\/strong> software, from which two-dimensional classification plans and the preliminary bill of materials are extracted. The model will also be the starting point for all other design phases (piping, outfitting, furniture, etc.).\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n\n \n

Thanks to the experience gained over the years of working with some of the best international shipyards, for basic and executive design, Kyma is able to critically develop functional diagrams of on-board systems<\/strong> by evaluating the pros and cons of different design options, while also helping the client make the choices that best suit the specific case.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

FEM Analysis<\/div>\n

The increasingly unconventional shapes of new yachts and the increasingly stringent demands of classification bodies have imposed the widespread use of FEM analysis<\/strong>. Kyma has a division of highly qualified personnel dedicated to performing local and global FEM calculations, supported by MSC software such as Nastran<\/strong>, Patran<\/strong>, and Apex<\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n\n \n

Naval Architecture<\/h3>\n <\/div> \n

Naval Architecture is the new department integrated<\/strong> in Kyma. The will to implement this sector is due to its crucial importance in megayachts and pleasure ships construction.<\/p>\n

Through collaboration with leading shipyards in the yachtbuilding industry, Kyma has a wealth of baseline data and operational feedback for project we worked on, which can provide a rich and up-to-date basis for developing any new project.
This department deals with basic design, hull design, hydrostatic and hydrodynamic calculations, power and resistance predictions, weights and stability calculations<\/strong> and further expands the range of services offered by Kyma, always with the quality and efficiency standard that characterize it since 2002.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n
