The CRN M/Y 143-Project Maranello, also the result of Kyma’s expertise, is coming to life in the Ferretti Group shipyards in Ancona.
The CRN M/Y 143-Project Maranello
The 67-metre steel hull and aluminium superstructure combine in a fully tailored design in both design and construction. The megayacht, as stated in the CRN press release, “will have 5 decks and will accommodate up to 14 guests and 17 crew in exceptional comfort.”
As for form and aesthetics, the megayacht is characterized by “taut, fluid, aerodynamic lines and a potent sense of style that fully reflects her owner’s vision and specifications.” This spectacular project by CRN, which includes the brokerage house of Moran Yacht&Ship to represent the owner, can boast of the creativity and experience of Nuvolari Lenard for Exterior design.
The hybrid propulsion
But the 67 meters in addition to craftsmanship, style and aesthetics is also innovation and attention to the environment: The characterizing element of the 143-Project Maranello, is engine that will lead to the creation of “an innovative, eco-friendly custom pleasure vessel with a state-of-the-art hybrid-propulsion system for enhanced energy efficiency and significantly improved fuel economy.”
Kyma’s role in CRN Hull 143 Maranello
For this innovative and compelling project, Kyma has used its skills and abilities to study the structures, the installations and the equipment.
In detail: for the structures part, Kyma has developed the scantling plan with the relative FEM analysis and the nesting documentation.
For the plant part Kyma has made the piping coordinated drawings of the whole boat.
In addition to the structures and plants Kyma has realized many fitting-out, activities that for this project was carried out in the offices of Follonica (GR) but that for the future Kyma will develop in the next opening in Marina di Massa (MS).
